Olds College Women’s basketball recruit Paige Bevan was named the Manitoba High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) Athlete of the week.
Tuesday, May 8, 2012 Paige Bevan of the St. Norbert Celtics Basketball team is this week’s Home Run Sports (Urban) High School athlete of the week. This 5’11” post lead her team to the bronze medal at the “AAA” Provincial Basketball Championships. For her efforts throughout the championship she was selected as an all-star and named the Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Player’s Choice Award recipient.

Best of the best Olds College athletes awarded

The Olds College athletic department handed out year-end awards last week for all of its sports teams.
Lorelee Grattidge of the women’s futsal team was named the female athlete of the year at the college with the top overall grade point average. Travis Paulgaard of the men’s curling team was the male athlete of the year with the top grade point average.

Futsal season comes to an end for Broncos
The men's Broncos Futsal team came within a shootout of the Bronze medal but could not get it done against a tough Keyano College team, ending their season with a 4th place finish.
