Katharina Oeltermann has stepped up her game on and off the field for the 2019 soccer season. She is the captain of the women's team and led them to a great six point opening weekend to the 2019-20 season. As a Center back for the team the Sports Management student was a key piece in starting the new season with a dominant 4-0 clean sheet win. The Hannover, Germany native was dominant in and out of possession and showed great leadership throughout the game.

On Sunday the women's team faced a SAIT team that finished last season with a perfect 12-0 regular season. Katharina opened the scoring with a free kick from long

range which surprised the SAIT Goalkeeper. The Broncos went on to battle to win the game 2-1, Katharina led the team from the first minute and made several key plays on

the offensive as well as defensive sides of the game. She made several key tackles and blocks to ensure the Broncos win, and was named the player of the game.
