Clippers too much for Broncos to handle on Saturday afternoon

On December 2 at the Ralph Klein Center the Olds College Broncos (0-13) dropped their final game of the first half of the season, losing to the Briercrest Clippers (8-5) in straight sets (25-21, 25-13, 25-20).

The Clippers and Broncos exchanged points for the better part of the first set, but in the end the Clippers hitters were too much for the Broncos to handle as the away team took a 25-21 first set victory.

The Clippers would take the second much more easily, taking advantage of some sloppy Broncos play en-route to a 25-13 second set win.

The Broncos battled hard in the third set, fighting to get back into the game trailing 20-19. However the Clippers would deliver on the next six points, winning five of them to take the match 25-20.

Levi Olsen led the Clippers on the afternoon with 12 kills, followed by teammate Mitchell Erickson who had 10. Meanwhile Jesse Stoddart lead the Broncos with eight kills.
