OLDS, Alta. - The Broncos rodeo program is a long standing tradition at Olds College!  Olds is the only post-secondary institution in Canada offering individual event coaching.  Students of all levels are welcome to participate. Competitive varsity athletes will be selected by coaching staff.  Varsity team members have access to strength training, physiotherapy, event coaching and compete in the Canadian Intercollegiate Rodeo Association.  Practices are held weeknights in the heated indoor Brawn Arena.  In addition, team members have access to the riding arena on weekends as the schedule permits.  The team hosts two CIRA rodeos each year, organized and executed by rodeo team members. Barrel racing jackpots and roughstock practices are a great way to meet new people!  Come out and cheer on your favorite rodeo student-athletes, the team welcomes spectators.

Non-competing members are also welcome to join the team.  There are many opportunities to be involved without competing in the CIRA circuit.  Rodeo scholarships are open to both competing and non-competing members. Selections are based on various criteria; academic standing, club participation, positive attitude, rodeo achievement & financial need.  If you are a high school student considering Olds College, please contact Coach Guy Kelley to discuss your opportunities as a Broncos Rodeo Team student-athlete.
