Broncos dominate Clippers at home
Broncos back to .500 with victory
The Olds College Broncos (9-9) dominated the Briercrest Clippers (0-18) on Friday evening at the Ralph Klein Center, claiming a 104-66 victory.
Samuel Willis III led the Broncos on the night with 17 points off the bench while Dyson Surmik and Linden Jackson followed with 15 points each. Secondary scoring was key for the Broncos on the night as 10 different players filled the stat sheet with points.
The Broncos ball-movement was on point in the first quarter, combining as a team for 10 first quarter assists. Samuel Willis III contributed with two three-pointers while Dyson Surmik picked up where he left off last weekend, scoring nine first quarter points. The Broncos took a 28-15 lead into the second quarter.
The shots were falling for the Broncos in the second quarter, as midway through the quarter six different Broncos has contributed with a three pointer. After the second quarter the Broncos had a commanding 56-30 lead with Surmik and Jackson leading the way with 11 points each.
The third quarter was the most evenly played, as the Broncos mixed up some matchups and managed to get the entire roster involved in the contest. After the third quarter the home team led 79-52.
The Broncos would cruise their way to the finish line, allowing only 14 final quarter points to claim the victory.
The Pit player of the game for the Clippers was Thomas Neusaedter while the player of the game for the Broncos was Tyler Knopp.
