Broncos Women’s Hockey with fifth consecutive win
The Olds College Broncos Women’s Hockey team won 5-2 over the NAIT Ooks on February 24, 2022 making this their fifth consecutive win! The night was capped with a recognition of four of their graduating student-athletes.

The Olds College Broncos Women's Hockey team won 5-2 over the NAIT Ooks on February 24, 2022 making this their fifth consecutive win! The night was capped with a recognition of four of their graduating student-athletes.
Olds College Broncos started the night with a goal at 4:11 scored by Danielle Corrigan and assisted by Hailey Hoogkamp. The Ooks started a little flat but worked hard in their defensive end throughout the period. Olds College had 15 shots on net while the Ooks had 7 and the score leading into the second was 1-0 for the Broncos.
The second period was a big one for the Broncos with two power play goals. With Treasure Posch in the penalty box the first power play goal scored for the Broncos was at 8:21 by Ireland Greenhough from Keera Tiringer. Shortly after the Ooks saw Michaella Kibblewhite heading to the penalty box for Body Checking at 11:07 with the Broncos scoring the second power play goal at 12:14 by Hailey Hoogkamp from Keera Tiringer & Maddy Black. Nait scored their first goal of the night near the end of the period at 18:17 and was scored by Cass Lyttle from Bre Martin & Brittney Savard. Shots in the second period were 8-6 for the Broncos.
Starting the third period the Broncos were up 3-1 and early in the third period Jesse Jack scored the Broncos fourth goal unassisted at 1:08. The Ooks followed up with their second goal at 3:03 scored by Jayden Perpelitz from Cass Lyttle. The Ooks played hard in the third period but the Broncos saw more success at the net. Late in the period Broncos Keera Tiringer scored the fifth and final goal unassisted in the Ooks empty net. Shots at the end of the game were 31-23 for the Broncos.
The player of the game for the NAIT Ooks was number 28 Jayden Perpelitz and the player of the game for the Olds College Broncos was number 12, Jesse Jack. At the end of the game four Broncos Women's Hockey players, Reegan Broadbent, Jorja Werenka, Danielle Corrigan and Jesse Jack were recognized as graduating student-athletes. All of whom will be graduating from Olds College with a certificate or diploma in their respective programs.
Olds College Broncos will be back at the Olds Sportsplex again Thursday, March 4, 2022 for a rescheduled match up against the RDP Queens and will be the last regular season home game for the Broncos.
